Ever wonder what real teens are reading. Like when they go to the library, like actually go inside and check one out, what do they pick? Well, the media specialist at my high school usually runs monthly reports of what are the "hot" books of the month. It's great to gage what students are interested in. Holy cow--that's a whole lot of Vampires AND PC Cast in particular on that list! Super interesting, Krista--thanks for posting!
:D
Really interesting. Thanks for this info!
Awesome Krista! Vamps definitely still have it and I think they always will.
And do my eyes deceive me or are those contemp. titles on that list? *faints*
I am blushing... and honored!
Yay Ellen--having your titles on there is VERY exciting for all of us! :D
Such a great list, thanks! :)
This is a fun list - too bad schools out. Not for you, you're probably dancing in your nuddy pants. Wow, just quoted from the AT&FFS series. Guess someone got it stuck back in my head.
Anywho, I'll miss the list this summer.
Cool - thanks for posting. Very interesting list! So different to the YA choices I read!
Agreeing having Ellen Hopkins in your library is awesome :) (and so popular, too)
Ellen, just like I mentioned in YAlitchat, I always have a student in my classroom with one of your books. It's very cool! And yes, making the list is awesome....and making it several times is the BOMB!!!
I never really liked any of those books. Even the Time Traveler's Wife, I couldn't get through. Although I do want to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Wow, I almost spelled it "wallflour"
"Lessons from a Dead Girl" is a fantastic book. I really hope that "Jumping Off Swings" makes it on to next years list, I love Jo Knowles's writing style!
I love the idea of "The Unquiet Library."
